      All of our work laptops just updated this month and everyone's having all sorts of bizarre issues. My KVM switch is fucking up now but only on the work machine, my personal desktop is fine. Classic Microsoft.

    Meanwhile people are "seriously" hyping up like 3 dozen patches to Linux.

      The amount of patches is as bad of a metric for judging development pace or quality of the result as counting the lines of code.

        especially since they're mostly coming about as a rule change that says any attempts to patch will get a cve of it's own in addition to the one that they were responding to.
